In Thailand, the police arrested a woman because her pet lion was caught on camera taking a ride in a fancy convertible on the streets of Pattaya. The lion cub was chained in the back of a white Bentley, and the person driving the car was a man from Sri Lanka who has left the country. He is thought to be a friend of the woman named Sawangjit Kosoongnern. In Thailand, having a lion as a pet is not against the law, but it must be officially registered.
