Guess what? They found an old painting by artist Gustav Klimt after almost 100 years! This painting could be worth more than $54 million.

The painting, called “Portrait of Fraulein Lieser,” was lost for a really long time. It used to belong to a family in Austria a long time ago, but no one had seen it since 1925. The family who has it now got it back in the 1960s.

The auction house, called im Kinsky, says this is a big deal – they call it a “sensation.” They think this painting is super rare and important. They’re going to put it up for auction on April 24th, and the money will go to the current owners and the family of the original owners.

The Lieser family, who originally had the painting, were rich Jewish people in Vienna. The auction house is going to show the painting in different countries before the auction, like the UK, Switzerland, Germany, and Hong Kong.

Now, there’s a rule called the Washington Principles, which says that if art was taken from people during the time of the Nazis, it should be given back to their descendants. So, they’re following this rule for the Lieser family.

The auction house looked into whether the painting was stolen during World War Two, but they couldn’t find any proof of that. In fact, they thought the painting was probably destroyed or lost. But surprise! It’s back, and it’s going up for auction.

Gustav Klimt’s paintings have sold for a lot of money before. One of his pieces, called “Lady with a Fan,” sold for £85.3 million in June. That’s the most money ever paid for a piece of art in Europe at an auction. Cool, right?
