King Charles has expressed his gratitude for the support he has received from the public after being diagnosed with cancer. In a statement, the 75-year-old monarch thanked everyone for their kind thoughts, saying that they have provided him with comfort and encouragement. The news of his diagnosis was announced by Buckingham Palace earlier this week. The King is currently undergoing treatment for an unspecified form of cancer and is staying at Sandringham.

The King’s cancer was discovered while he was receiving treatment for an enlarged prostate in January. Although the type of cancer has not been disclosed, the Palace has confirmed that it is not prostate cancer. In his message of thanks, the King expressed his admiration for the organizations that support cancer patients and their families, and how his own diagnosis has helped raise awareness about their work.

Due to his cancer treatment, the King has stepped back from his public duties. Other senior members of the royal family, including Queen Camilla and Prince of Wales, have taken on his responsibilities for certain events. The King recently left Clarence House for his Norfolk residence, accompanied by the Queen. His son, the Duke of Sussex, also made a visit from the US.

The King’s decision to make his medical condition public is unusual, especially for someone of his age. He hopes that by sharing his diagnosis, he can serve a purpose and raise awareness about cancer. The King also acknowledges the care and dedication of the doctors and nurses who are treating him, as well as the support he has received from the public.

Both the Queen and Prince William have expressed their gratitude for the messages of support they have received. The Queen stated that her husband was touched by the letters and messages from the public, while Prince William thanked everyone for their kind comments. The Princess Royal also acknowledged the support for the King and his wife, the Princess of Wales, as she recovers from surgery.
