Queen Camilla recently attended a star-studded event celebrating the work of Shakespeare. She was joined by a group of distinguished British actors, including Judi Dench, Vanessa Redgrave, and Penelope Keith. The event, held in London, was part of the ongoing celebrations honoring 400 years since the publication of Shakespeare’s first folio.

The celebration was hosted by Gyles Brandreth at the Grosvenor House Hotel. On Valentine’s Day, Dame Judi read one of Shakespeare’s most famous love sonnets, Sonnet 116. The Queen continues to fulfill her royal duties despite her husband, the King, undergoing treatment for cancer.

Male actors in attendance included Freddie Fox, Alex Jennings, Jeremy Irons, Brian Cox, Tom Courtenay, Peter Egan, Robert Lindsay, Martin Jarvis, Simon Russell Beale, Robert Powell, and Samuel West. Cox, who is known for his role as media mogul Logan Roy in the TV series Succession, is also a seasoned Shakespeare actor. Additionally, Lumley and Redgrave were honored with damehood by the Queen.
